to multimedia content (images, video, and audio) on a variety of platforms (enterprise, social media, and sensors). One of the fastestgrowing types of data relates to physical observations, measurements, and occurrences in the real world. The growth of physical world data collection and communication is supported by low-cost sensor devices, such as wireless sensor nodes that can be deployed in different environments, smartphones, and other network-enabled appliances. This trend will only accelerate, as it’s estimated that by 2020 more than 50 billion devices will be connected to the Internet (http://share.cisco. com/internet-of-things.html) Extending the current Internet and providing connections and communication between physical objects and devices, or “things,” is described under the general term of Internet of Things (IoT). Another oftenused term is Internet of Everything (IOE), which recognizes the key role of people or citizen sensing, such as through social media, to complement physical sensing implied by IoT. Integrating the real-world data into the Web and providing Web-based interactions with the IoT resources is also often discussed under the umbrella term of Web of Things (WoT). Data collected by different sensors and devices have various types (such From Data to Actionable Knowledge: Big Data Challenges in the Web of Things

Semantic Challenges for the Variety and Velocity Dimensions of Big Data
With the increasing use of sensor devices, machine-to-machine communications, and social networks there are large volumes of real world data that are multi-modal, dynamic and heterogeneous. Among the main challenges of the Internet of Things, Social Media Analytics and their blending in CyberSocial-Physical Systems is how to deal with large volumes of sensory and social data, and how to extract...
متن کاملBayesian Modeling Based on Data from the Internet of Things
The Internet of Things is suggested as the upcoming revolution in the Information and communication technology due to its very high capability of making various businesses and industries more productive and efficient. This productivity comes from the emergence of innovation and the introduction of new capabilities for businesses. Different industries have shown varying reactions to IOT, but wha...
متن کاملQuery Architecture Expansion in Web Using Fuzzy Multi Domain Ontology
Due to the increasing web, there are many challenges to establish a general framework for data mining and retrieving structured data from the Web. Creating an ontology is a step towards solving this problem. The ontology raises the main entity and the concept of any data in data mining. In this paper, we tried to propose a method for applying the "meaning" of the search system, But the problem ...
متن کاملA Review of Big Data and Anonymization Algorithms
Over the past twenty years, information has raised in a very massive scale in various fields. In 2010, Apache Hadoop outlined BigData as “datasets that couldn't be captured, managed, and processed by general computers within a tolerable time”. This paper begins with the definition, background knowledge and challenges of BigData. Then it shows the relation of BigData with other related technolog...
متن کاملManaging Semantic Big Data for Intelligence
All-source intelligence production involves the collection and analysis of intelligence data provided in various formats (raw data from sensors, imagery, text-based from human reports, etc.) and distributed across heterogeneous data stores. The advance in sensing technologies, the acquisition of new sensors, and use of mobile devices result in the production of an overwhelming amount of sensed ...
